Engineering Administrative Assistant
Summary
Reports primarily to the Engineering Project Assistant.  Performs a broad and diverse range of administrative duties for the Engineering Department.  Assists the Engineering Project Assistant, ensuring that the Company meets its obligations to each customer.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under direction of the Engineering Project Assistant:

  • Use electronic file database of catalog pages, manuals and specifications of equipment components to prepare and assemble electronic and hard copy versions of Technical Submittals as well as Operations and Maintenance Manuals for hydropneumatic tank systems.
  • Package project components and prepare shipping documents utilizing internet shipping resources.
  • Track and expedite shipment of project components according to the individual project bill of materials. Record all component costs in the component cost database.
  • Inputs data into jobs and quotes tracking database using the Access database management system.
  • Light filing and phones.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Engineering Project Assistant.
Skill List
  • Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Skilled in use of desktop computer and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to understand engineering environment and terminology.
  • Effective written and oral communications.
  • Ability to be adaptable, plan and prioritize work, take initiative and possess a good attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • Must possess experience working in a responsible office position.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience on PC, professional office and related industry standard software.
  • Desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent work ethic.
