Under the direction of the President, plans, directs and coordinates sales and marketing of PULSCO's products and or services by performing the following duties personally or through existing representative networks. Works closely with Management, Marketing and Engineering personnel to establish, create, provide and distribute sales support material to representative networks. Aggressively researches prospective representative companies, establishes contact and builds rapport to distribute PULSCO product(s) in geographical and market areas with no existing or established company representation or presence. Works with representative network to confirm viability of representatives to sell PULSCO products.
Under direction of the Company President:
- Establishes sales and marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products and/or services.
- Develops and executes sales and marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products and/or services.
- Assists in planning and developing the company's advertising and promotional activities.
- Recommends changes in basic structure and organization of sales and marketing group to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives.
- Conducts sales and marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.
- Oversees the sales representative network. Contracts for adequate coverage in all geographical areas.
- Regularly calls on sales representatives and customers to develop accounts for near term, long range and/or special projects. Identifies potential accounts and is the first point of contact for account development and maintenance.
- Assists in development and presentation of promotional and training sessions to customers and sales representatives.
- Reviews contract terms and conditions to ensure they are acceptable to PULSCO.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
- Ability to use design and drafting software.
- Ability to use and knowledge of industry codes and symbols.
- Ability to analyze engineering design problems.
- Ability to estimate project costs, materials and man hours
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
- Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years experience in technical discipline with minimum 3 years in marketing/sales of technical products.
- Ability to travel - up to 75%.
- Understanding of contract negotiation and principles.
- Proficient in the use of a PC and standard professional office software including AutoCAD.
- Must be able to develop a general understanding in the principles of:
- ASME Pressure Vessel Design
- Compressible and Incompressible Flow
- Acoustics
- Static Stress Analysis
- Electric Control Logic
