| PULSCO’s Hydropneumatic
Pressure Control System is a control and feedback application that maintains water system pressure between a specified pressure range to prevent system pumps from
cycling off and on too often. Hydropneumatic Pressure
Control Systems can be found in Water Treatment Plants with wash-down
systems, applications requiring specific water pressure at pump
seals, and systems needing water pressure maintained between two pressure
set points. |
Continual pump cycling increases the risk of pump
failure and unscheduled downtime for maintenance service. PULSCO
engineers utilize a proprietary program to analyze your specific
pressure control needs, provide an accurate account of your system
requirements and develop a reliable designed solution. PULSCO’s
Hydropneumatic Pressure Control System will increase the life of your system and save the cost of electro-energy to drive the large pumps. |
|
| The system includes a hydropneumatic
tank (a steel pressure vessel, constructed for the working pressure
and service required in accordance with ASME, Section VIII, Div. 1 Pressure
Vessel Code Requirements), air compressor, pressure transmitter, level transmitter,
ball valves, solenoid valves, check valves, control panel,
and sight glass. To reduce frequent pump starts and stops
during peak service times, the system is equipped with an automatic
level-pressure control panel to maintain the air charge and water
level. In order to maintain the system pressure within allowable
limits, the unit control panel activates the pumps and solenoid
valves by monitoring the pressure and water level via tank mounted
pressure transmitter and water level sensors. PULSCO can
provide additional levels of controls depending on application
need. |
